Melotte 15 —The Heart of the Heart Nebula (IC 1805)
Located about 7,500 light-years away in Cassiopeia, Melotte 15 is a young open cluster located at the center of the Heart Nebula. Its massive O- and B-type stars generate strong stellar winds that carve the surrounding gas into the tall pillars and ridges seen in this image.
With all the rain we have had, I haven't been able to shoot much at all, luckily I had some data from another telescope from back in 2024 that I added to this year's.
I may go back and add more O3 but I'm pretty happy with how this turned out with 27 hours of integration.
